Our team includes hydrologists, civil engineers and environmental scientists, each with specific expertise and interests in water resources. Scott FiferScott Fifer

Mr. Fifer is President of Resource Engineering, Inc. and founded the Company in 1990. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Watershed Science from Colorado State University (CSU) in 1973. Scott returned to CSU in 1980 to complete graduate studies in hydrology and water resources engineering. He is well know for his expertise in water rights, water supply planning, water quality, and basin hydrology. Scott has often been called upon by his Clients to provide expert testimony in matters before the water court. On the weekends, depending upon the season, you can find Scott mountain biking, hiking, backcountry skiing and generally enjoying life on the west slope with his beautiful wife Debbie.

John CurrierJohn Currier

John Currier, P.E. is a Western Slope native. He is the fourth generation of his family to be raised on an irrigated farm in the Grand Valley. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Colorado State University and has completed additional, advanced coursework in groundwater hydrology. After graduating from CSU John traveled around the world, pursuing various engineering projects. John joined Resource Engineering, Inc. as a Water Resources Engineer in 1990, when the Company was formed, after returning from his travels. John’s areas of expertise include water rights and water supply planning and analysis, complex water right change cases, groundwater investigations and well design, hydraulic design and small dam design. He also has extensive experience as an Expert Witness in Water Court Cases and has been a conference speaker on water rights and water resource related topics. Outside of work John stays active racing mountain bikes, developing potable water supplies in remote villages in northern Mexico, serving on the Board of Directors of an international non-profit community development organization, and keeping up with his wife and two high school aged kids.

Michael ErionMichael Erion

Michael has lived in the area since 1992. He has worked at Resource Engineering, Inc. since 2001. Michael started his engineering career in Fort Worth, Texas after completing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas – Arlington in 1987. He continued his education by completing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering in the Hydrology and Water Resources Program at Colorado State University in 1990. Michael provides expertise in civil engineering, water rights, water resource management, water supply planning, and regulatory review. This fourth generation Coloradoan is a sports fan and enjoys walking with his dogs, riding horses, and all the chores associated with living on rural acreage.

Eric MangeotEric Mangeot

Eric has worked as both a project manager and project engineer for a variety of civil and water resources engineering companies for the last fifteen years. His experience encompasses a wide variety of project types including water, wastewater, water supply master planning, non-potable and reuse planning, site utilities, water rights, reservoir design, and project oversight. He is also the project engineer for the Basalt Water Conservancy District. Eric holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado and has a professional engineering license in Colorado. He has been with Resource Engineering since 2004. During his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with his spouse and two boys and has been a volunteer hockey coach with Glenwood Springs Youth Hockey since 2001.

Raul PasseriniRaúl Passerini

Raúl moved to Colorado from his native Argentina in 2001. He lived in Aspen where he was a ski-lift mechanic for a few years before going to Graduate School, earning a MS in Water Resources and Hydrology at Colorado State University. He then moved back to the Roaring Fork Valley and joined Resource Engineering, Inc in 2006. Raúl's main professional interests include river mechanics, hydrology modeling, and hydraulic design. When not at work, Raúl enjoys being outdoors with his wife and daughter, skiing, hiking, and biking.

Ryan McBrideRyan McBride

Before coming to Colorado, Ryan spent two years in Morocco serving as a Peace Corps volunteer. While there he worked with local community members on water related issues and consulted on irrigation improvement projects. Prior to Peace Corps, Ryan completed a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Science in Irrigation Engineering at Utah State University.  Ryan joined Resource Engineering, Inc. in 2008 and is interested in water resource management, water rights, and GIS modeling. When he is away from work he spends time with his wife camping, caving, and backcountry skiing.

Ashley NadonAshley Nadon

Ashley is a fifth generation Coloradoan and a native of Glenwood Springs. She earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Water Resource Engineering from the University of Colorado. After college, Ashley began working for a water resource firm in downtown Denver, where she analyzed water rights for Water Court cases and developed modeling tools to assist municipalities with water supply planning. During her 4 years in Denver, she had an opportunity to work with clients of all sizes facing various water related issues throughout the West. Ashley recently moved back to Glenwood Spring and joined the team at Resource Engineering, Inc. When she is not at the office, Ashley is either hiking, biking, backpacking, fishing, or testing her luck at any number of other outdoor sports.

Melody MorrisMelody Morris

A Colorado native, Melody has lived in the Roaring Fork valley since 1962. Melody has been Resource Engineering’s office manager since the formation of the company in 1990. Melody is also responsible for the management of the Basalt Water Conservancy District’s accounts receivable, contract assignments and processing of new contract information. Outside of work, Melody enjoys traveling, playing tennis and helping her husband with his landscape business.

Lisa LindenLisa Linden

Lisa has worked part-time at Resource Engineering since early 2005, assisting with the client billing and daily operation of the office. Lisa is also a massage therapist, practicing since 1988. Lisa’s previous careers include court reporting (Official and freelance), production assistant for a nationally-known jewelry designer, executive assistant to the CEO of a local nonprofit and a legal assistant. When not working, this Colorado native enjoys being outdoors in the Rocky Mountains, hiking, camping, and gardening.
